Conducting a Q-Sort

Please note two important points about completing a Q-Sort:

  1. The Q-Sort is designed to measure organizational culture, not the investment process. Your responses to the Q-Sort must be based on your perception of how an investment firm manages its business - not its portfolios.

  2. Among the Q-Sort statements, references to the "group" are synonymous with the firm's executive leadership - those individuals responsible for managing the firm's business. References to the "leader" are synonymous with the firm's top business decision-maker, such as the CEO, president, founder, or chairman.

Note that the Q-sorting procedure is simple, but somewhat time consuming. Expect to spend 45-60 minutes completing your first Q-Sort. As you become more familiar with the statements, completing subsequent Q-Sorts should take less time.

Before you can complete a Q-Sort, you must create an account and log in.
