InvestmentQ ™ Background

In 2004, a Q-Sort research project was conducted by Professor Randall Peterson of the London Business School, the Brandes Institute, and Watson Wyatt Worldwide. This study used the Q-Sort to assess culture at 46 investment management firms in the United States and Europe. To the project team’s knowledge, it represented the first time the Q-Sort tool had been applied to the investment management industry. In 2006, the same team joined with consulting firm FS Associates, Inc. to extend the benefits of the Q-Sort to a broader cross-section of the investment management industry, renaming the project "InvestmentQ ™". FS Associates, Inc. is responsible for this website, and provides the InvestmentQ ™ research team with the aggregate data needed to extend the work of the original Q-sort research project.
